This STC Certifies the Boeing 737-700 as PED tolerant. This status is made explicit in an AFM Supplement.
Your needs
To use Portable Electronic Devices transmitting at WiFi 2.4 GHz within your aircraft cabin. This can for instance be aimed at crew communication or Bring Your Own Device in-flight entertainment.
Your benefits
Being able to execute the operational allowance process for PEDs on board of your fleet (covered for instance by EASA Air Operations regulation CAT.GEN.MPA.140) without the need to perform the technical assessment, since the PED tolerance status of the aircraft is known.
Product Description
Certification of the Boeing 737-700 as PED tolerant. Resulting in an AFM Supplement explicitly stating that use WiFi 2.4 GHz communication is allowed on board. This status eliminates the need for an operator to do a technical assessment as part of the process to allow the use of PEDs on board of their aircraft.
